Micromusic makers,
I've been remiss at podcasting new music lately. Please excuse the
lack of production. I need more material! I just put up one of Dave
Seidel's piece Symmetrical Melodic Variations. I need more material!
Please send me a pointer to MP3 files that are web accessible and I'll
make some more. There are now over 2000 individual podcasts, some are
more frequent than others. There's been a lot of media coverage on it
as well. NPR is podcasting their WNYC produced program "On the Media"
for example. Last week's program had a pair of spots on the
technology. See http://www.onthemedia.org/.

Well, it's not much, but you're welcome to any of my 3 songs if you
like. I'll be uploading some more soon.

Hey guys,
I'm no ironman, believe me. I have a new job, new customers, and lots
of new flying time to different cities around the west, so I haven't
had time to create a podcast in a month or more. I have tons of
material from recent posts here, but no time to put one together.

Is anyone interested in carrying on the mantle of podcasting? I can
give you a login to the Podcast1024 site at blogger.com, and show you
how to record the 30-60 second intro's, and give tips for audio
recording software. Any takers? I just haven't had the time, and I
keep getting requests for new podcasts.

I have about 150 subscribers to the RSS feed. Every one of them will
have your creations downloaded to their MP3 players or iPods if we can
just get someone to create the material.

Let me know if you are interested in contributing a piece in MP3
format, 64 kbit/sec stereo with ID3 tags, a short description, and a
blog post.

Prent,

I can't offer help at this time (gotta get the Meadows back up and running) but I just wanted you to know that the "ironman" moniker goes all the way back to your idea of composing every day. And, while you may not currently be able to do that, your sentiments carry a lot of import.

OK, so "AluminumMan" will have to do for now, you light-weight! :)

Cheers,
Jon

I've put up a few new podcasts, including one just today, on my
Podcast site. http://podcast1024.libsyn.org/

Today's includes a clip from Cory Dargel's "Composers and the People
Who Love Them" podcast, which I highly recommend.
http://www.automaticheartbreak.com/composers.html

Also included are pieces by Joe Pehrson, Aaron Krister Johnson, and
Christopher Bailey. It's 30 minutes long, and almost 27 MB in size, so
only download it on a broadband connection, or over a long weekend. I
had to keep the 128kbits/second resolution to preserve the sound
quality of the pieces.

I have a new intro by Radio Daddy, a voice over service that I
subscribe to for professional sounding voices. This one is by "Mark".
Some of the others were by "Mary". Real nice people who are doing this
for free to build their voice-over experience.

Comments welcome, new contributions especially welcomed. I have a few
more from Hans Straub, Margo Schulter (if I can reach her to get
permission), and some of mine.

As always, thanks, Prent, for doing this and getting the word and music out
there.

BTW, this was the first time I got to here Chris Bailey's piece. I just got
back from a Barcelona vacation, and as it was, I'm behind on my listening.
Chris, I'm sure I'll speak to you on the phone, but man, was that great!

Best,
Aaron.
