Mac folks:

I need to get someone on the MacOS platform mp3-enabled. The only
link I have to a freeware mp3 encoder is DropMp3; not having a Mac, I
can't gauge it's usefulness or effectiveness.

So, if anyone could post links/names for free-ware or shareware
encoders _and_ players, that would be great, especially if they are
personally recommended.

Cheers,
Jon

Jon,

I use MPEG Creator, takes all of 344k of hard drive space, it was a free
download, and works quite well. I encoded all the mp3 samples on my website
using this. I don't remember where I got it, perhaps try versiontracker.com
as a source.

I use GrayAMP v1.2 as an mp3 player, also very low bandwidth.

Seth

Will do; versiontracker is very cool, just by itself!
