Beautiful flowessence Jacky.

However, something about that scale sets me on edge. For me, it's really kinda grating.

I was adaptive-tuning in my mind to the just tones.

This brand of Blackjack always hits at 22 for me.

I really liked your melodic contour, the arc of the story. Quite good indeed.

Hi Jacky

You are so incredibably talented, and I feel so lucky to be able to
hear your work . This is gorgeous, just love it. How did you get
the piano sound. Is that a preset on your Yamaha or samples. They
sound pretty good over here.

George glad you are up and running and already producing. Can you
tell us what your drum set up is? Sounds good.

I feel very lucky to be able to hear the work of such talented
musicians.

Peace,
Mary

Has this got anything to do with MMM?

Alison,

No. It is complete spam. Either someone has programmed bots to actually go through the motion of signing up for groups and then posting to them, or they're paying people minimum wage to do the same. This has happened on other Yahoo groups as well.

I've deleted the post, file, and unsubscribed the member, though it was probably a one-time, bogus email address anyway. The price we pay on the wide-open Internet, I suppose...

my response on the stretch list was to make membership restricted. i
ask candidates for membership a few on-topic questions, to make sure
they're legit . . .

I've just seen another one, which I've hosed. If this happens once or twice more, I'll have to change tactics, and what you suggest is what I had in mind. More hassle, but I don't want the list spammed.

Sorry folks: if I could control the world, I would... at least the bad parts.

Sorry, I missed your reply to me. Yeah, I'd report this stuff to Yahoo,
and maybe it's time to somehow tighten the subscription criteria!

I saw an article in the Washington Post today about Spam; at least
government officials are starting to get enough spam that the havoc is
becoming noticeable in the right places... Hopefully we'll see laws sooner
or later and maybe spam will decrease.

i just realized after leaving the office yesterday that the waveform
repeats itself every 8 seconds -- exactly. so if jon is going to loop
it, i should provide an 8 or 16 second .wav file.

If I get a chance (late tonight) I'll try looping just that much. I did get one done, but with just a raw waveform it's hard to get a seamless loop without a tick or pop. Maybe on an 8 sec boundary.

Also, Kalle has done some files, don't know how diff they are, haven't heard them yet...

Cheers,
Jon

I don't know how it's supposed to sound, never heard
a performance of it. But Margo didn't complain.

I don't have Blackwood's article/book handy, but
if this is the 10-tone scale, there's no dissonant
mode for the pattern. Did you listen to my midi
file?

Well I'm complaining...

! Fragment of madrigal that serves as example of a composition that
! employs all three modes (diatonic, chromatic and enharmonic).

Anybody else?

I see what you mean, the Bb/ could be wrong, I have
to check at home.

I should get that article next time I'm in Montana.
Perhaps it's a typo.
