I've got a new 3'52'' work up at akjmusic.com

It's called 'prism'. You can access it directly at
http://www.akjmusic.com/audio/prism.mp3

or from the 'works' portal page at http://www.akjmusic.com/works

It's a mutitracked synthesizer improvisation using Kraig Grady's Centaur
scale, which I tend to use by default when I want to write in 7-limit JI
because it seems to be best for that purpose ;)

There's a bit of a neo-Terry Riley feel I think, with the digital delay and
all, sounds sort of 'Shri Camel'-ish. And a bit of Morton Subotnick
FM-squawcking for added texture going on. Hope you like it!

Best,

Very cool. One of my favorite of yours, besides
The Juggler. What, though, is the "ovrdbbd" synth?
Google returns nothing!

'ovrdbbd' is short for 'overdubbed' --- :)

The mp3 tag line neccessitated that I shorten the description...so I took out
the vowels, hoping people would understand if they look at the tag !!! I
guess it was a bit obfuscated !!!

Thanks for listening !!!!

It certainly seems to work. Personally, I don't believe in "best"
when it comes to scales or tunings. I'm finishing up something in 99
equal, which is excellent for the purpose of 7-limit music, but
whether it is "best" is another matter.

Anyway, good to hear something new from you!

Well put...perhaps I should have said 'Best for my (general) purposes'.......
