hi everyone

just trying to introduce myself. I am a composer/producer
working in the primarily experimental jungle idiom, who got
seduced by microtones. My favorite systems are 19tet and 60tet,
60tet because i'm a control freak who likes "beats" and
correcting thirds and sevenths in a tonal context, and 19
becuase it allows me to ignore theory and compose from my
ear.
19 tet is great! you hit a point in harmony where you can make a
choice between several seconds, sixths, or sevenths, and the
change in a harmony is so subtle, so sublime. I also like it
because it's prime, and ny sequence you produce leads you
straight into distant tonal terretory.

so, my compositions, which are highly hybridized, can be found
at:

http://cdbaby.com/cd/googleplex

the microtonal ones are:
#3 el gordo-the uber indian classical 43 note scale
#4 giant spiral-60tet
#8 the gnome-24tet
#9 4am-19tet
my drummer is wicked, huh?

I realize that these clips are only two minutes long. If you are a
reviewer/dj/label exec (ha!), email me and let me know if I can
send you a cd/where the review would be.

Hi, Scott

Your music is really exciting and interesting, and I'll probably be buying a
copy eventually. I just added you to the Microtonal Listening List
(http://www.angelfire.com/music2/aah/microtonal/list.html) under the name
"Scott Bruzenak & Deantoni Parks". Would you prefer I change it to "Google
Plex" or "Astroid Power-up!"? Let me know your preference.

Nice work!

-Andrew

Is it possible to download these?

🔗tentothe99 <tentothe99@...>

thanks andrew.
maybe you could write it "scott bruzenak & deantoni parks (astroid power-up!)". if that
takes too much space, it's perfect the way it is. thanks very much for including me in your
resource!

sincerely,
scott

some people have had trouble downloading them, and i'm not quite sure why. you might
need a newer version of realplayer, or some similar program. like i said before, only the
first two minutes of each song are available on the site.
let me know what happens.
thanks
scott

Scott,

Whoa.

Seriously wild stuff! And, yes, Deantoni is a rather impressive player, not simply for being able to come up with beats for your complex times, as well as the tempos, but to make them *feel* right.

Order has been placed... and thanks for joining the group and letting us know. I hadn't realized the area of "experimental jungle" that I was missing.

Cheers,
Jon (who wonders if "demented" means having had your ment(s) removed...)

Might it be useful for classifying microtonal intervals? ;-)
For example:
augminished 6th
demented 7th
