my sample experiment

I muted every string on my piano with two towels and used two wedges to mute all
but one string of middle-C, sampled it over its entire decay and then fed it to CronoX.
The 'piano' patch I made actually sounds pretty decent--something like a lute stop on
the harpsichord and not at all unpleasant.

Then I did some vocal samples and made some wacked out patches that way. -Justin

Sounds like you're having a good time! How did it compare to the piano I sent you?

Also, I heard from Peter, the developer at LinPlug, and he apparantly has some other microtonal instruments in the pipeline - very cool...

Cheers,
Jon

Did he mention any Audio Unit versions in the works, or are they VST
only?

Yours probably sounded better but mine was more useful for microtuning as it had
less of an inharmonic timbre. -Justin

Only what I printed above. He does have a forum at KVR (http://www.kvr-vst.com/) and you can track developments or ask questions directly of him.

Cheers,
Jon

Jon,

I visited the LinPlug user's forum on the KVR site, did a search
for "microtonal", and failed to find anything that you mentioned.
Can you give me some more direction as to where you found this
information?

Thanks,
Paolo

I only meant that the KVR site might be a good place to check the progress of AU versions. The information about possible new microtonal stuff was in a private email to me, in response to a question.

Cheers,
Jon
