For Rick: Finale -> final product?

Rick,

One last thing I meant to ask: when you are doing the final 'product' of your pieces, is it actually a real-time playback of Finale, going into VAZ with 11 instances of Rhino (and one percussion via DR-005) 'live' and simply capturing the audio output, or do you have a way of 'rendering'?

I ask this because as one starts loading up the softsynths, and especially when one starts using complex voices, you can quickly start taxing the CPU. This is why a lot of the sequencers have the option to 'export' the file, whereby it is rendered in non-realtime and is not CPU dependent in a temporal fashion. This is also an area where it is a good feature if the softsynths have, essentially, 'draft' and 'final' modes of playback, where they can turn off some features or sound rendering during intial work so you get an idea of the piece, and then you turn up the rendering quality when doing the final mixes.

Just curious.

Cheers,
Jon
