Dear MMMers,

You'll see the auto-generated message about the excerpt from
A Neoromantic, Postmodern 'Artiste' Longing for the Late 19th Century
in 19-ET (I thought I could edit the message--sorry), but I
wanted to let you know the new folder
HaroldFortuin
also contains excerpts of

--Endangered Species, a 20-tone JI duet that modulates, for
Kris Peck's 20-tone just intonation guitar (he playing) and
me on Clavette playing 'electric organ' (strictly speaking,
the Clavette sends MIDI data to a Kurzweil K2000 upon which
the 19-ET organ patch resides)
--Coffee Blues, a rather straightforward 22-ET blues which
revels in alternating with the 22-ET equivalents of the
'overtone' 7th (7:4) vs. the minor 7th (9:5), which are 1 scale
tone apart.

In fact, all of the above bits (and the complete pieces for sure)
exploit new tonal harmonic resources made available in >12 tunings,
and in particular show off the differing 7ths, such as the
aforementioned, which cannot be found in 12-ET of course.

Of course, I'd welcome thoughtful feedback about these.

in .mp3 and excerpts of other pieces in .mp3 with scores as JPEGs.

Happy Listening,
Harold Fortuin
(nowadays in Boston, Mass.)
