No, SEND will create the midi file, or if you want to
transmit the midi file by hand you can do instead
SEND/FILE xg.mid
Then use a midi file player to send it. The default way
is to invoke the Megamid player to do this, but the
first time you have to set Megamid up to use the external
midi port for output.

Scala seemed to do what I told it to do. But the keyboard doesn't
seem any different. Do you have any trouble shotting advise???

Thanks for all the help so far.

PS I can:

SEND/FILE A:SCALE1.MID

then put the disk in my PSR 340's disk drive and play it.
This isn't working either, but now I have a file that can show what
was sent. I can't think of a way of opening my files in hexadecimal
yet. If I post them under "group files" would someone be able to
post them back in hex?

Any other suggestions?????????????????

Did you have the XG system support turned on? Sorry I don't
have own experience retuning XG things. Others have it working.
My best advice is to carefully read the PSR manual.
