I don't often post here nor do I consider myself a microtonalist per
se. However, since others continually tell me what we're doing is
generally JI-based, I invite those of you interested in layered
harmonic overtone vocal music to visit our site that has lots of
mp3's to listen to:

Any and all constructive criticism/feedback is welcome onlist and off.

Thanks for your consideration.

Jeff,

I read your entire post, and it seems like you're trying to
taunt and scorn people into writing music. You must realize
that isn't the way.

I got a 404 on the link you gave, that Jon said he was
downloading.

Funny; I far prefer the three mp3s I have from Dante to the
seven I have from you.

I think it is important to acknowledge those composers whose output was small
Varese
Webern
Ruggles
are three i can think of right of

As for posting, most of my works are in the 20 min range which makes them not appropiate. Likewise
being done on solely acoustical means, it often has little in the way of being instructive or
enlightening to those working with electronic instruments.

As for technology and its use i find even the ability to overdub is outside of my working method,
I perefer working with people in groups and doing live recordings until "the unexpected happens" .
I find the glitches of people more interesting than those in machines and i believe much is lost in
our move away from community music making. music is constantly being pushed beyond the human scale
with exsteme lengths, limits of perceptions (complexity), etc. none of these should be taken as
given and should always be pushed. Yet i believe most of us have a sense of ourselves and what what
we can take in and for how long. This relates to how and why people work and few composers work the
same way and thank god we don't all sound the same either.
