Anyboday see the movie "A Simple Plan", and if so, have
comments on the score?

I haven't, but how about saying a little bit about the film and the soundtrack - no reason why the appetite can't be whetted!

Cheers,
Jon

I saw the movie in the theater and asked about it here then, and
nobody replied.

The score did indeed seem simple, but also highly microtonal
(like, 90% of the film has highly microtonal harp playing).
Was wondering if anybody else agreed, knew who did it, thought
it was significant, etc.

Hmmm. I just checked my MMM mailbox and don't find anything - maybe another list? No matter. Did you enjoy the film? I now remember it (having checked the web): a smaller, semi-indy film from Sam Raimi with Bill Paxton and Billy Bob Thornton:

I'llBeDarn, it's a Danny Elfman score!

Cheers,

Yeah -- it was in the theater in 1999 or 2000, when the only list
was onelist, I believe.

Not really.

That's right; I remember now!

Looks like quarter-tones, and the "harp" was perhaps a banjo...

Is that the one with, like, the one single microtone on the piano?
If I remember correctly.
