Scala <> Metasynth issue

Manuel and Jeff (and anyone else involved),

If one assumes, for a variety of reasons, that the Metasynth people won't be implementing, directly, a way of reading Scala files directly, what about a little translation app?

If I'm following correctly, these are simply text files, and the formats are similar but not exact. Parsing text files is one of the easiest of programming tasks - couldn't one write a small and simple tool that would read in a *real* Scala file and output to the Metasynth format?

Hopefully they'll see the light with all the work Manuel has done, but this might be an alternative...
