Thanks Steve and Marcel,

For what it is worth I've added 6 more tunings. What amazes me is how some
of the tunings tease out a bit of Gershwin here and there. Or perhaps its
more proper to say its George who re-interpeted Claude.

Hi Chris,

Could you send me the MIDI file?
I can sort out the enharmonics and give you back 2 MIDI files and 2
scales , so if you then MIDI file 1 with scale 1 and MIDI file 2 with
scale 2 with your Pianoteq and then mix the 2 outputs you'll get a
proper Pythagorean version.

I'd love to do this as it really bothers me to see a version out there
that bears the name Pythagorean but is out of tune :)

Kind regards,
Marcel

Yes, Gershwin learned a lot from Debussy, but more from Ravel (and Ravel from him)...

Somehow I don't see much sense in trying different temperaments and tunings with music written for common 12 tone ET :-)

Here is the Pythagorean version:
https://soundcloud.com/justintonation/debussy-arabesque-no-1-in

It uses 16 notes per octave from Bb to Fx.
(missed the Bb when I first looked at the score, it only occurs once).
Sorry for the not so fantastic piano sample, may redo it later with a
better piano.

Kind regards,
Marcel
