Chris;

I enjoyed Slumber of Thought, I was surprised at how that tuning sometimes gave such a broad variety of chords.  Some of the drumming low chords around midway through sound so purely harmonic, while there are plenty of dissonant, juicy bits to curl your ears...  really nice.

Also, thanks for writing about your interest in collaborating with the Diano. I'd be happy to send you the app to experiment with, but I would need to know what you're working on.  The Diano is built with Max/MSP and I have it running on an INtel Mac.  I "should" be able to run cross-platform, but I've never tried it.  Also, the Diano sends out System Exclusive Midi Messages to retune a "midi" synthesizer.  So, it depends on what you're working with.  Let me know what you're using and I'll try give you as much support as I can,

best, John R

Hello, I'm more of a "toolbuilder" than a musician, and I've been
working on this "instrument" that allows you to easily build scales by
virtually dividing strings; it's called the "Diano". Here is pianist
and composer Loreta Kovacic trying it out and me explaining how it
works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tu34Kf-yOcM

I'd love to hear feedback and I'm interested in collaborating with
anyone who would like to experiment on it. There's a bit of history as
to how I ended up making it (rather longwinded, I'm afraid) at this
link.

Hi John,

Thank you for the reply. I'm glad you liked Slumber of Thought. Andrew Heatwaite introduced me to that tuning with his 65cET guitar.

I have 2 systems for music. My desktop with winows vista 64 and my laptop with Windows 7 64 bit. I don't have max/msp intalled on anything yet though perhaps I should seeing the popularity.

If that doesn't rule me out I'm interested in your instrument.
