After a long period of inactivity, I was finally able to put together a short piece of music the past few days with some vsts I purchased the past couple of years or so. It is a microtonal piece in 17tet (unlike my previous pieces in 14tet) using the following vsts:

m. 1 Tonehammer Whale Drum (Kontakt)
m. 5 Microtonic
m. 9 Mellotron Boys 1 from Kontakt Factory Library
m. 17 Mellotron Mix Strings 1 from Kontakt Factory Library
m. 25 Mellotron Boys 1 from Kontakt Factory Library

It is by no means a finished piece, but I thought it was about time to finally put something out there so someone could give it a listen.

Wow, I have your mircos 1-6 here from 2004 (except I suspect that's
when I moved them over from another hard drive and that they were
actually earlier... true?)

Can't wait to listen. We've just moved house and I'm using the
internet from a cafe at the moment...

I don't know why it is, but I have had a difficult time following up those pieces. They were composed back in the 1980's, when all I had was an XT (pre Pentium) computer, a Yamaha TX81Z, a Quadraverb, and a program called Personal Composer (which I believe now only exists as a notation program and is no longer a sequencer program). All of those pieces still exist in their original form on 3.5" floppy disks. You would think that with all of the equipment I have now, it would be easier to compose microtonal pieces, but unfortunately that has not been the case. I just hope someone will get some enjoyment out of this piece.

Truly a spooky piece! Please work on it some more - there is a great deal of
potential. I can best describe my feel of the piece as a microtonal 60's spy
thriller theme. It has a catchy melody and nice rhythmic groove.
