Brand-New 16-EDO City of the Asleep Track on a "normal" Compilation!

Hey gang, I got asked by my good friend Zach (aka Yojimbo Billions) to produce a cover/remix of a love song for a compilation on the lyfstyl.tumblr.com music blog called "Mad Love in Crazy Times". So I took an a cappella version of "I Am Stretched on Your Grave", transcribed the melody in 12-TET, re-tuned it to 16-EDO anti-diatonic, then used it to vocode the original vocal and wrote and epic Armodue-inspired dub-step/glitch/metal track around it. It's the 2nd track on the compilation, and you can hear it here:

or here:

The rest of the tracks are non-microtonal, but pretty good (IMO) if you like electronic music. Please give a listen!

It's obnoxiously delicious!

Seriously, that's a totally crazy version of a very not-crazy,
traditional song. This sort of thing usually falls completely flat for
me, but when it works, it works. This one absolutely works. Can't really
describe why. Noisy noisy noisy noisy... MMMmmmmmm... :)

I like the third and final tracks, too.

Good work!

wow - this is so twisted - in a nice way. I never heard the original. But
now I think if I were to hear this in 12 it just wouldn't be the same.

Wait, so is this the first time that a microtonal track has snuck onto
a "normal" compilation when the genre was supposed to be popular
music? Is this a historic moment? Does Igs need to prepare an Abe
Lincoln speech?
