I left this question on youtube as well - it sounds like an open tuning -
what is it?

Nice improvisation.

Open G major. Makes for some nice drone action on the lower strings, I got the idea after watching a YouTube vide of Paul Erlich playing some acoustic (12-TET) guitar with some hand-drum players. He was playing some really frenetic vaguely middle-eastern stuff and it got me thinking about using open tunings to create drones to beef up the sound of solo guitar playing. I think it worked.

I saw that, he was dominating the whole time. You might want to
consider drop D as well, I also find it pretty useful to explore
31-equal.

Hey, also, can I make a request for a 15-equal improv? It would be
nice to hear some Blackwood 15-equal stuff.

Bravo for putting this up, and for using decatonic numeration!

Not gonna happen, as I no longer have a 15-EDO axe. That was a fishing-line job that became 18-EDO, and then I took the body off that guitar to use with the 19-EDO neck. But I will do a 20 sometime in the next week or so. I have a 16-EDO Cynder (Mothra?) improve recorded that just needs annotation, too.
