This is a guitar piece in classical style in 17 notes per octave using the 17 version of the phyrigian mode. For the composition, I developed a framework last night and this morning and then in Jazz style improvised around the pre-determined framework.

Catching up to this one, too. Picking favorite modes is like picking
favorite children, but I've always liked phrygian. This is a nice
scale that captures the phrygian mood nicely, and the piece is well
put together: I'll bet most people wouldn't know that it's microtonal,
despite the very flat character of that first step.
