Request to Gene

Gene,

This one is dead simple: would you mind creating a little .sig (signature) that you can have automatically attach to your emails, for the *express purpose* of including a link to your xenwiki?

Why, you ask?

Sure, it's right up there in your head, but have you ever had to search - especially on a computer that isn't yours and has your own link history in it - for xenwiki? I don't think it even comes up on the first Google page, because there are other combinations of xen and wiki that seem to pop up sooner. But every time you mention it, along with something of interest, I have to go find it.

You mention it constantly as a resource, but it ain't ubiquitous, and having a handy link in your posts would be a great benefit for a lot of people. And maybe make it become ubiquitous.

TIA,
Jon

Thanks, I've only seen Gene refer to it. Still doesn't help like a simple link would. We might at least put a link up in the "Links" page for this list/forum.

Hey Jon, my bad for calling it 'xenwiki' for short---it's really
"xenharmonic wiki", and the google search of that term will bring it up on
the top:

http://xenharmonic.wikispaces.com

Also, FYI, it's linked from untwelve.org

Or as an alternative,

You could make a HTML page and put it on a USB drive. This page can be a
"home page" of all of your desired links and accessible to any computer use
can us the USB drive with.

I'm pretty sure all you need to do is to copy and paste links from the URL
bar into a text file, save the text file and rename the text file extension
to .html - then load into your browser.
