UnTwelve 2010 in a zip file?

Sorry about having to ask - I did some searching but couldn't find an answer...

I might be hallucinating, but did I read somewhere that the entries posted for listening at the UnTwelve site were eventually collated into one zip file of all the separate mp3 files? I'll love to spend an evening listening, but it would be an awful lot easier to download one file and expand it into a folder to listen to all of them, rather than sitting here at the computer clicking on each separate piece (link).

No rush, sorry if it has been answered and I just didn't see it...

Jon,

I can zip them and post them for you, but if you use (or are willing
to use for this purpose) FireFox, there's a plug-in called
"DownThemAll!" that lets you select, say, all of the music files or
PDFs or videos linked from a page and put them into a folder. That's
how I got the UnTwelve files, and I use that plug-in all the time for
other purposes as well.

Regards,
Jake

Cool, that is a plug I didn't know about. Let me try that before you make any other effort. Thanks!

Ok, end of thread. I got all the files with Jake's suggested plugin. Of course, now I haz a sad, since they are all just *numbered* with no info in the file headers!! Ah, well, I'll listen and then go identify the ones I liked, unless someone has a listing of composer/title/file#

Cheers,
Jon

Jon,

Eventually, this ought to be fixed. I can rename them, but it's a PITA at
this point, because the links will have to be re-written on the page as
well. If you can make do for now, do so, and forgive my over-worked mind and
body for the inconvenience. No rest for the weary.

Putting on such a competition is tremendous work, and largely a thankless
task, and this is a perfect example of the nagging details that can still
haunt, months after the main event.

Dude, no worries at all! You've already done the heavy lifting, people who listen or snag them online have the info there. I'm happy just to have a folder of music to listen to, and if nothing else, not knowing who made each piece will take away any preconceptions I might have. In a way, that is kind of a cool bonus.

No more work from you. I've got the tunes...

Ha ha! You (and everyone) is welcome! I guess I just whined a little; I
don't mean to. It's every bit as thrilling and inspiring to put it up, and
more so, as it is a PITA. I look forward to creating a more exciting and
more smooth and agreeable event for all involved every year.

There's always something new to learn about how to run it better and better.
:)

Not to mention, I have a goal of ever increasing the jackpot.....we'll see
how that goes!

Hi Jon,

If you save the music list webpage from Un12 into the same folder as the
music you can then make the connection.
You load up the saved page in your browser and then "hover" your mouse over
the link - somewhere on your browser the link should be listed - on firefox
it is at the bottom of the page - and that way I can correlate the filename
and the composer.

It might work for you too.
