***Thanks, Jeff! You're welcome to use it for your film anytime!
We'll have to let my publisher know, but aside from that, it's
totally a "green light" from me! :)

OH... before we get too carried away with the "Western" imagery, I
had basically meant the "Western Hemisphere" as opposed to Eastern
Europe where the piece was premiered!

A funny thing happened when the publisher put the piece on the Web.
Here is the commentary:

PEHRSON, JOSEPH, Wild, Wild West : For Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon,
Piano, Percussion, Violin And Cello.

Score & 7 Parts
New York Seesaw Music Corporation 2001 28 cm.
46,9,2x5,4x4p.
Edition #/ISBN:

Dedicated to Liviu Danceanu and the Archaeus Ensemble. This energetic
piece evokes Western themes through the use of repetitive ,
syncopated rhythms and rapid melodic gestures. Calls for wind
harmonics, quarter-tones, and clusters.

***The funny part is the fact that there are, actually, *no* "Western
themes" if by that they mean American Western themes, in the piece!

But, of course, if people want to hear that, they are more than
welcome to, as far as *I* am concerned!!
