Free Sue is a work for spoken choir, bowed piano in 18 notes per octave, mallet piano in 18 notes per equal, strummed piano in 18 notes per octave, tabla ensemble, snare drum, frame drum ensemble and various gongs. It is an entry into the 2011 60×60 Vox Novus event.

Thanks for the listen and comment Kraig!

I have to admit I don't like it as much now compared to when I was immersed
in it. I put it on a stereo in the bedroom and it sounded like mud :-(

Thank you very much for sharing this. I find it very atmospheric and I find more it the more I listen to it. Reminds me a bit of Pow R Toc H (if I have the right track) on The Pink Floyd's album Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, but also of the track "We Shall Fight" from either the film A Fist Full Of Dollars or For A Few Dollars More.

I also particularly like the strummed piano.
I just wish it was longer.

Thanks Mark - the reason it is so short is because it is for the 60 by 60
event - song length no more than 60 secs.

Perhaps I will go back and give more length. I might be happier with it if I
do.
