Hey all,

Late last night, I did actually complete one of those pieces I mentioned
in my last post. "NE Seven" was created with Orion Pro using 7 ET (my
first ever composition in this tuning) & electronic timbres. Be sure to
listen with clear, well-balanced headphones -- not those horrid, murky &
bass-heavy sets.

Hey Dr. Yarman,

The link below should take you to my SoundClick page, with a short list
of my MP3s. "NE Seven" is at the top of that list; directly to the right
of the title is "full" (full song info). Click this, it takes you to the
"song info" page where you can stream or download.

Thanks for the listen, Oz.

It wants me to sign up. Though a future possibility, I imagined a direct download link was available?

Me too. Maybe you're a candidate for one of Chris' servers?

I've never heard before anybody had to sign up to listen to music through
soundclick.
I never asked me to sign up (i don't have an account there) and the music
plays just fine for me (both the direct link and the music on your main
artist page)

Microtonal people are very welcome at www.notonlymusic.com

I just need to verify that you are a real person - I get spammers signing up
more often than I'd like.
So using a real name in your online name or email address helps.

or just tell me here you sign up and I'll do the rest.

I'd like to chime in and thank Chris for hosting this site, and suggest it as a solution for posting pieces. It would be nice if more people took advantage of it and created some energy - the forum tools are very easy to use, and it's a fast and simple way to get your music heard by friends and colleagues.

Cheers,
Jon

Yeah I hate bass heavy headphones, so many are made that way. Excellent music! 7EDO is so agreeable to my ears. So refreshing, washing out all that 440Hz 12EDO. Let us know if you have any other xenharmonic tracks.

Mat Cooper.

Hey Chris,

Thanks muchly for the kind offer, I will join up and upload "NE Seven"

I am definitely a real person, though other opinions may vary on that
subject...

Hats off,

Hey Mat,

I went through 5 or 6 headphone sets (expensive ones, I might add) at
Fiery Bros. Music before settling on a moderately priced Sennheiser.
Very nice, clear & well balanced, which is important to me when making
final mix-down adjustments.

Glad you liked "NE Seven", thanks for the listen. I've been out of
practice a couple of years. Other & older xenharmonic tracks are the
next 6 listed below "NE Seven" on my Soundclick page...

www.soundclick.com/jon_lyle_smith <www.soundclick.com/jon_lyle_smith>

...though you can only listen & not download. I will be posting all
newer works at NotOnlyMusic.

Best,
jls
