I have been reminded by a dear friend of the existence of a web portal
to Persian treasures:

http://www.persianhub.org/

Under Albums, one can find such Classical Persian music albums as
Yashar Samadi - Nazo Niaz, and countless more I need to check myself.
Excellent performances of Maqam/Radeef Music!

Big thanks to my Iranian brothers for making this site!

Oz.

Thanks for the interesting link. How I can recognize what is authentic and pure (as much as possible) folk or ceremonial or other high quality music and what is only boring westernized pop? Unfortunately lot of CD covers look more like the second type... Could you please recommend what has enough musical quality to invest time for downloading and listening? I doubt all of this can be called "Persian treasures"...

Listen to them for a few seconds one by one, I suppose.
