Amazing Grace - Transformation #13

Here's the final version of my Amazing Grace transformation. It's in 72 EDO, with lots of slides to 11 limit ratios. The instrument are my two microtonal slide pianos.

Gah. As usual, a lovely, fascinating piece from you. I'd also like to say how much I enjoy your documentation of the process, and how I like to start with the 'finished' piece and go backwards to see how it got there. Very strong, polished, and evocative music.

I have to think that Kyle Gann would like this as well.

I listened to this yesterday. Really interesting stuff! Didn't even sound like Amazing Grace! That's a good thing for me, because I don't like the original. :)

I can say it something very new for me. The wobbling techniques and the weird sense of rhythm are fresh.
