Just found this a few minutes ago -- http://www.marcodi.com/home.html

This is basically a mass-produced starrboard with a janko-ish layout.
Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater fame is all over it. Not quite
microtonal in its initial setup - but certainly opens up some
interesting possibilities. Also, note that you can tune the strings to
whatever you want, but the frets are still in 12-equal -- meaning if
you tuned the strings to 11-limit JI, you would be able to play in
11-limit JI with 12 equal tonal centers.

Something like this would be almost ideal for easily and intuitively
messing around with linear temperaments, I think.

This also doesn't seem like it would be that hard to make as a DIY
project -- maybe something for the weekends.

Great find! Yes as a DIY project it would be interesting.. I'm trying to think in my head how this could work for 22-tet in terms of tuning the strings when you have 22 frets per octave.

I'll give it a proper think over, and I'll keep dreaming for now..
