KG, Paul...

Yep. I doubt I'll be able to play in every 22 the world has to offer, at least today. In fact, I'll be lucky if I play *one* 22!

So, that said:

Paul (and Manuel), I want the one described as "this one maps one acoustical octave to two keyboard octaves, the full 22, with every keyboard 'e' left out of the mapping"

But just by loading .scl files and looking at filenames, I can't tell which one that is! Any help? Otherwise I'm gonna have to just fart around with whatever I come up with...

Cheers,
Jon

if you do get that one up and running, try familiarizing yourself
with the intervals and chords found on the *black* keys on the
keyboard -- then you can think of the white keys as
providing 'chromatic alterations' . . .

a promising 22-tone mos for 11-limit harmony is the orwell one
(generator about 19/84 octave) . . . you'll find it in the scale tree
below 5/22, 7/31, 12/53 . . . or the noble (2*phi+1)/(9*phi+4) . . .
which corresponds to horagram #7 in http://www.anaphoria.com/hrgm.PDF

(sorry to put this theory stuff here, but wanted to share this with
kraig, who put that page up on the internet after all)!

Sounds like a great place to start! Thanks!

Seemed like a perfectly good call to me - no sense being dogmatic about these things...
