A great piece. Anyone heard this before? The sounds he uses are amazing.

Hey I like the synth sound, but I'm not particularly fond of the piece.
Doesn't do anything for me but 'sit there' for me. And it doesn't 'sit
there' in any particularly interesting way.....

Best,
Aaron.

Eh, to each his own. I really dug it, but then again, I'm really into
the minimalist thing (sometimes).

When I finished listening to it, I was quite surprised to find out
that only 4 minutes had transpired, and not 20... hm.

That can work both ways! :)

For me, I always think a piece "feeling short" when it's long tends to be a
plus--I felt that way about Kraig Grady's "Beyond the Windows, perhaps among
the podcorn"....it's longer than an hour, but I just doesn't feel like
it....you get lost in it. It ends up feeling like a subjective 1/2 hour to
me.

Then there's the feeling, which you probably are trying to articulate, that
something carries "weight" or has a high "density", so it feels longer b/c
it packs a lot into some few minutes....I just have to disagree about the
density of this particular youtube piece, and I too, love a good Steve
Reich, John Adams, Michael Gordon or Phillip Glass piece!
