homage to Joe Maneri

i thought this was a very nice homage by julia Werntz to Joe who died at age 82 this past August 24th.

I was fortunate enough to know Joe and his family back in the early 1990s, and for anyone who even knew Joe just a little bit, i'm sure they'd confess to the amazing presence he made both through the sheer impact of his persona and by way of his amazing talent.

After I moved from the area i lived in when i knew joe and family, I lost contact—and i regret it more than ever now.

Joe was an amazing person who lived an amazing life, and my own life was bettered for having known a bit of both.

For those who didn't know Joe there's the music, which had--and continues to have--a life and a story of its own to tell...and as Julia mentions, the music will live on.
