Two minor anachronisms

Just posted a couple of very short things. These are made using MIDI from Noteworthy Composer relayed through Scala to an external SoundBlaster Live.

Quite different from my usual stuff. The first one was started three years ago, the other in 1978, both now re-arranged for harpsichord tuned to Kraig Grady's Centaur scale.

Both these are beautiful to say the least. The first is really really catchy in an almost satie way in that it is almost saying two things at once, one with melody and another with harmony. the longer it goes on the scarier it gets:) in a good way!
I don't think i would have recognized that the later was in the centaur tuning which i take as a good thing that it does not impose too much upon how it is used. but honored regardless! thanks!

Glad you liked them. Both were originally written in 12TET. I tried a number of different tuning to give more flavor, and Centaur just sounded right to me.

i have done the same thing. Often it is difficult to figure out or decide where in the scale to place the piece as the material is often settled enough for any point of departure or return. Secor's tuning might work well too especially if one wants to do it live and can't talk the instrument owned to retune it this far out.
