New Piece 17 ET Piano Brass Drums

This had its genesis in improvising on the Korg MS2000 using 17ET on
Garritan Personal Orchestra's piano along with a drum loop. I recorded
the midi and edited the drums, some edits of the improvisation (ripped
out 6 ugly, ugly measures and quantized the ending which got way out
of time.) Then I threw in contratuba, tuba, bass trombone, and french
horn.

17 ET was surprisingly easy to work with excepting that span of 6
measures.

Hi Chris

I liked it. I'm with Carlo; it sounds like an alien news theme. But I'm
curious about the six ugly measures...

And I think it can be harder to write in 17-et, and even more so 15,
than in 41, 53 or 72.

Thank you Carlo and Danny for the listen and comments.

I can post the midi if you'd like and that includes the 6 measures in
another track. (of course you need means to play it in 17 ET.)

The short of it - the 6 measures made no sense as a harmonic progression and
had the equivalent of bad chromaticism within the context of the piece. This
is the result of the piece coming from an improvisation. I simply lost my
way there.

Nice! I get this bizarre mental image of Ganondorf at a disco. :-)
