NaMoWriMo for composers/songwriters?

This applies to making music in general, not just microtonal.

I know some people doing this: http://www.nanowrimo.org/

Every November, writers from all over the world (disregard the "National" in the name) take the challenge to write a novel of at least 50,000 words in thirty days. I asked someone particAnybody want to do this with me is ipating if a musical composition would count.

Then I websearched for anything equivalent for musicians, and found nothing, though I might not have looked hard enough. So I decided I'll privately start my own "NaMuWriMo". I haven't quite decided what to write yet, but I'm leaning towards some classical form, at least a sonata-allegro, possibly a multi-movement work, even a symphony (or whatever the musical equivalent of a novel is). It'll probably be something fundamentally 12-tone with occasional third- and quarter-tones. I'm finding myself doing that a lot lately, since I'm working with piano and other fixed 12-tone instruments a lot.

I'll invite and encourage anyone who wants to do this with me... it's just for fun, though I really need the practice and motivation. I'm fighting a lot of writer's block lately.

That sounds like a great idea Danny.
I'll be there, if this gets started.
A good idea for composers.

There is a similar challenge for musicians called the RPM Challenge.
Read all about the last one here:
http://www.rpmchallenge.com/

Those who sign up agree to cut a CD with ten songs and 35 minutes of
music in 29 days.

I signed up last February for 29 days and finished ten songs and cut
them on a CD. I think they are doing it again soon, but not sure.

I posted FLAC's of the first five here:
