Hi, two days ago I posted a song in my folder "Raed's Music". I was hoping to get some
feedback, as I am "new" to microtonal music and search inspirations and critics.Till now I
have seen alot of discussions but very little music. Hmm, so whoever feels like commenting
on the music; I'd be very happy about that.

Greetings, Raed

Hi Raed,

I'm allergic to myspace but I did listen to your track, which
I thought was good. Listened to it twice, actually. I didn't
reply because I didn't have anything terribly insightful to
say about it. Welcome aboard, as it were.

From Robert. I didn't think much of the first 50 seconds but I
suppose it set some kind of mood. The final 2 minutes sounded like
something that I might imagine to be playing at a late night hip-hop
rave party with lads and lasses dancing wildly and frenetically to the
beat of your music. I rarely go out late at night so this is just my
imagination. A bit scratchy in parts but it all came together with
interestings rhythms in the final quarter of "A Hint from those who
passed away".

   TraxInSpace is generally great.

You do get a few people who whine pointlessly but, more importantly, you will also
find people like Myself, Clones, First Contact, and several others who listen with open minds.  I, for one, promise to review/rater/input on your track in very good detail and with a very open mind.
The trick is to keep a backbone and listen to the people who give valid advice on improvement.  I've found even a very well done micro-tonal song, from any artist, will rarely get a rating over 3.5...but if you can get further, Lord bless you! :-)

It's a very quirky, diverse, international crowd. I would highly recommend it over any mp3 music site.

It's only for dance music, right? Or would neoclassical
stuff fit in there as well?

Not at all.  The neo-classical and ambient music from musicians there like Oscar,
Space Walk, Clones, and Louiqi Verona (just to name a few) are actually
some of the most popular artists on the new/re-released TIS site: just look at the charts.

It is not like the old Trax in Space back in the 90's (which is, I'm guessing, what you are thinking about)...where a huge majority of the music was either dance or demo-style.  The new TIS has a bit of everything, though hip-hop and variants of rock are two of the more rare genres there. :-)

Yep, thanks for the comments. I just opened a Traxinspace account. Let's see what
happens. I'm actually interested in putting microtonal music in popular formats. Not for
success, but to prove it is a completely valid artform not only for psychologicaly displaced
or generaly hopeless people. The freaky microtonal genre (soundscapes and strange
noises) is interesting too, but I'll get into that later.
Has anyone written with Kathleen Schlesingers Greek scales? That's what I'm working on
at the moment and it is really fun!
Well, I'm gone for the weekend and will listen to all the music here on tuesday.
Let's change the world!!!

Greetings for now and more noise later. Raed
