I did this back in March, but have been too swamped to post here much
lately. I thought I'd bring it to all your attentions since I just
updated my webpage to reflect it's presence.

Study for Lorna-"Exploding Daisies"

Background--an improvisation, sped up for giddyness, in 11th-root-of-3
tuning, which is non-octave based, butthe octaves areclose enough to
pure that one still hears them as such, and it actually closely
resembles 12-of-14-edo. I just liked the swirly beatyness of it all,
gentleman and lady or two. For more "sped-up giddyness", have a listen
to 'Study for Kyle Gann', 'Boogie Pie', and 'Buzz-Buzz'.

The title suggested itself to me because Lorna, my wife, was getting
fed up that I hadn't dedicated anything to her, and that it just
sounded like a psychedelic cartoon of big yellow flowers appearing
everywhere and drowning out everything else, I guess. I'm not as
certain as Messiaen would be about their color, I suppose.

Comments are most unwelcome. I don't care what you think, because my
ego has dissolved and merged with the One. Just listen as you would
listen to the rain or the wind. Does the rain or the wind desire your
applause? Will it entertain your feeble suggestions of what software,
hardware, sample banks or techniques to use? I have become both water
and wind--I've moved beyond pleasure and pain, praise and critique,
and am just living in the 'zone', 24/7---man, I'm a Zen master by now,
looking down from the mountain and laughing, and then carrying my
water buckets a ways and returning to the village. And then ------
silence.

I just want your dollars, so if you like it, give me your money.

I'm sorry to bother you but I must say this piece sounds good. Maybe I would have chosen a
different sound but that's not the problem.
At first I thought the title was "Study for Lorna Exploding - Daisies"

Ahem.

Just as I said on the tuning list (I happened to see it there first,
but you *know* my heart is here on MMM), I can not tell you what I
thought of this piece.

I got a big laugh out of this, Aaron, and repeated it almost verbatim to my wife. Maybe I'll
memorize it for personal use.
