Great work, indeed! Listening through it now. I really like the
Kotheimer songs, and the owl produces some amazing sounds!

yes quite a few good works here. Some funny (yet not at all silly) lyrics

I can only speak for myself: the real world has hammered me hard for
about the last 12 months, and I haven't had the time or emotional
space to be involved in creative music. It has been hard enough just
to drag my ass to work and bang out the symphonic hits of the previous
couple decades, all by dead people. I hope things will look up as this
year progresses. I still read and listen, as I'm sure others do. I
mourn a bit that MMM has become so quiet, and that it appears there is
less activity going on than at other times. But maybe appearances are
deceiving.

Besides, Dan, you know I don't get along with ETs... :)

Cheers,
Jon

Baaahnt! This is part of the real world! End false dichotomies. Still,
understood :)

I hope so, geez. When was the last time a CD was released that raised
an eyebrow around here? (Does Jurica Jelic's fretless album count?

The last 17TPP concert had 4 JI songs on it, by Paul Kotheimer.
Nothing cutting-edge JI-theory-wise, but among my favorites!

Oh, and has everyone heard Robert Hasegawa's recent two pieces for the
White Rabbit ensemble? Expansive drone progressions, one might say.

Maybe we need another MMM day.

Damn, I can't download that fretless album. All the letters look like
they have cats around them, to me.

Glad you understand - it has been quite daunting.

Honesetly? I might get off my ass for something like this, if only as
a goal-oriented thing.

Cheers,
Jon

I quite liked all of Paul's pieces and didn't even know they were JI:)
Was one of the words in your song, "rehearsal"?
