This is a very nice piece that I do not think anyone can object to as being
"out of tune"

Details please on how it was realized?

Can I post a link to this tune on Trax in Space music forum?

It would help greatly the cause of microtonal music in that community.

I am have been looping it for a half-hour now:-)

Yes please do. It is nothing but Hammer dulcimer and reed organ. the drone though Eb Bb Eb Bb has a D a 28/27 below it which changes it waveform quite a bit.
Thanks for the nice comments all

No, the reason it didn't was it didn't fit well with other pieces, or they didn't fit well with this.

I should add that all of you are welcome to join Trax in Space.

Register and you will be able to upload your music and participate in the
rather eclectic and varied community from around the world that we are.

Most of us are former "trackers" but have grown over the past decade
and have moved beyond simple pieces into trying to create good craft and art
even.

Is it unique to you... I doubt it.
But it would be great if you would drop on by!

Hi Kraig

Very nice and beautiful.
I tested your scale and have played something in 96-EDO version of
your scale by my PC and scala:
http://240edo.googlepages.com/Amahourin96-EDOverofdrone1986scale.mp3

your music isn't out of tune and this terachord :1/1 8/7 9/7 4/3 or
its 96-EDo version 0 237.5 437.5 500 is a kind of major or mahour
tetrachord to me.
It shows that combination of "Lower semiaugmented tone of 237.5
cent" , "Tone of 200 cent" and a "Upper quartertone of 62.5 cent"
Have a taste of mahour tetrachord.
another 96-EDO version can be 0 225 437.5 500 with these intervals as
"Acute tone of 225 cent"+"Upper tone of 212.5 cent"+Upper quartertone
of 62.5 cent".
Best wishes for you

That was quite nice and the use of ornaments brings out some of the nicer qualities of the scale!
The scale i got from my centaur tuning and at the time i thought of it as a 'hyper' major in the sense of more major than major:)

I'm glad I popped in to hear this...I've been staying away for a while.

Kraig this is just _beautiful_, and I have to admit I'm surprised
there is a 9/7 in there...sounds awfully tame and relaxing compared to
what I'm used to from that interval. Maybe it's the hammer dulcimer
just always being so pleasant no matter what is thrown at it. Go figure.

Best,
Aaron.
