In response to expressed interest in Arabic tunings from many TBX1
customers, a new set of Turkish / Arabic scale files has been
uploaded in .scl and .tbx format.

The scales are provided by Ozan Yarman, (well known to Tuning List
members) a microtonal theorist and composer who is Turkish and lives
in Turkey, and has worked extensively with perdes (tones) in the
formulation of maqamat (Turkish / Arabic scales). Visit his website
at: www.ozanyarman.com

In the scale folder are:

8-Buselik Y
9-Karjighar Y
8-Nihavend Y
8-Hijaz Y
10-Mahur Y
10-Segah&HuzzamY
10-UshaqHuseyniY
11-Rast Y
10-HijazkarKrd Y
7-Kurdi Y
12-Saba Y

The trailing 'Y' on each file name signifies Ozan Yarman as the
designer of the scales.

The .tbx files are for use with the Tuning Box in TBXE directly, and
the .scl files are provided for importing into TPXE to use with the
Tonal Plexus, or for alternate mapping of the scales in TBXE

Each scale has been pre-mapped to 12 keys by yours truly. These
mappings can of course be changed by the user.

Enjoy!
