Marfa is a town in West Texas known for weird lights and, IIRC, early
UFO sightings.

Warren should be well-known to readers of this list as one of the most
inventive and productive microtonal composer alive. He has just had his
dissertation accepted at the University of Wollongong (Australia) where
he
studied with Greg Schiemer.

I had the fortune to hear these pieces live at what i think was the premiere which were transcendental to say the least.
piece was it own gem and wonder!!
