I agree 100% and want to mention that there is also an electric
kora, the gravikord. I wish I had one, but they're rather
expensive. It's described in Bart Hopkins' book+cd with 'gravikord'
in the title. Foday Musa Suso plays it on a favourite album of
mine, Mandingo: New World Power. The sound is great.
