Announcing the Second Annual
“Big Love for Citrus Music Festival”

Tempe, AZ. October 9, 2007 – Tempe music icon, Slim Golba announces the second annual Big Love for Citrus Music Festival slated for Sunday, December 2, 2007 from, 11-7 pm. The event will be held at Tempe’s Kiwanis Park in the beautiful Sister Cities Garden.

The Big Love for Citrus event celebrates the birth and commemorates the passing of Golba’s beloved daughter Citrus, who bravely lived with cystic fibrosis. Golba wishes to make the second annual event larger than the first celebration and desires to incorporate music, family oriented activities, non-profit information booths, and uplifting vendors of all kinds. There are no fees for vendors and agencies wishing to participate in the event.

Two main stages will provide family oriented live music, and a children’s stage will feature dancing, storytelling and face painting. Popular Arizona bands Major Lingo, Walt Richardson, The Noodles, Joe & Matt Myers, Kindread, and Ringo McLennonSon, have committed to perform at the event along with Golba’s own band, The Overtones.

The festival is currently seeking potential vendors, volunteers and non-profit organizations to participate in the Sunday afternoon family event.

The Big Love for Citrus Music Festival is a free event and is open to all. It is a celebration of the optimistic nature of children everywhere; the spirit of love that lives within each of us.
