Ah, hey guys;

I'm new to this group, but I have been to varying extents keeping
track of things microtonal for the past few years. Anyway, I decided
to give it a crack myself (mainly interested in the spectral-mapping
approach of Bill Sethares for now), but have a few questions I think.

My main one is this: Are there any spectrally mapped sample libraries
on the internet? I have just about been able to mess about with
Zynaddusbfx to input some of the tunings in the TTSS book, but it's
mostly very tedious - even a library of zynaddsubfx tunings paired off
with the appropriate scales in scala format would make things much
more manageable. Hmm...I'm crossing the line into suggestion territory :S

Think I'll leave it at that for now then; will go off and play with
MatLab for a while I guess before saying any more.

Peace out,

Stephen

Hi Stephen,

To make some introductory experiments with Sethares' approach you may
use this Csound program:

Cheers,
Hudson

P.S.: You may need to change the <CsOptions> section with the
parameters suitable for your system.
