fyi,
New Music Works in Santa Cruz has been staging its "Avant Garden
Parties" annually since 1980. Needless to say, like your's we abreviate
them AGP, also.
Outdoor concert/parties with installations and performances designed to
resonate with each garden's ambience. For 23 years they were staged at
one estate, and since that time we have annually migrated to different
bucolic estates throughout Santa Cruz County. In fact, twice they staged
held in Lou Harrison's home and garden.

While I'm at it, I might as well pump it up a bit.
Our next Avant Garden Party (#26) is Sunday, June 3, 2007, and is titled
"Thai Getaway to Ellis Island"

The program will feature Thai Piphat ensemble and Dance of Wat
Buddhanusorn, and guest composer Terumi Narusima, an Australizan-based
composer/theorist who specializes in just intonation will be with us to
hear her "Tritraidic Chimes" and to premiere an interactive
installation.
There will be many other performances (some concurrent)
More details @ www.newmusicworks.org

Excuse me for gushing, but we're at peak publicity phase, it's
self-aggrandizement time!

good luck with your gardens. We're always interested in more repertoire
that fares well outside circumstances.

cheers,
Phil Collins
