hi, everyone.

i'm new to the list so let me do a quick shameless self-promotion.
i use this software called max/msp to make microtonal music.
my recent interest is making microtonal piano softwares,
so that more people can make microtonal music easily.

here are some softwares:

this software lets you make microtonal music
using octatonic scale in 8~48 equal temperament.

this software uses tuning based on overtones.

http://ondomusic.com/mesa.elech.tele/pfs_nt5A.zip
http://ondomusic.com/mesa.elech.tele/pfs_nt5A.jpg

this is pentatonic scale in just intonation.
go to "tuning" to define a just intonation scale.

basic operations are;

1. turn it off -> on.
2. draw anything on the score field
3. hit play.
4. open "recorder.mxf" to record
5. WinXP or OSX only

all of the softwares are free but kinda crappy especially on editing side.
they are derived from "drawing to music" software,
so they are not quite meant for precise editing...
you can hold "e" and click to delete parts,
but what i recommend is to draw shapes and lines,
and not to worry about little details for these software.

i'm open to any suggestions, comments and bashings.

best.

My suggestion is make the scales less limited.
