Dear MMM,

I just finished reformatting and re-updating the definitive Microtonal
Listening List. Because I just care like that. And I'm
procrastinating. And I think that educationally it's an extremely
important resource.

This list was started by Andrew Heathwaite, but he's not currently
working on it and his Angelfire webpage is good and frozen, so update
your links, mkay?

I know a lot of pages full of links are flying around everywhere, and
I would like this one to be useful to novices. I tried to make the
short descriptions better, we could really use a page of recommended
microtonal listenings; specific pieces that have affected you, and
how, and why. And the list needs to distinguish between people with
full-blown corpera of microtonality and the one-hit wonders.

If you can make it better, or more complete, or less offensive and
label-dependent, please do. The existence of this wiki is intended for
widespread, collaborative editing.

Happy Birthday one and all,
Jacob

P.S. MMMDay07??? Maybe on Euler's birthday??? Anyone???

Have you considered alphabetizing it?

What a terrific job, Jacob. A labor of link love. I just updated my
entry to point to a few more sites.

When is his birthday, and how old would he be? Numerology seems to be
the latest trend after all.

Of course there is a web site devoted to his birthday, 300th on
4/15/07. http://www.euler-2007.ch/en/ Why not 300 microtonal tunes on
tax day? Each one an integral multiple longer than its predecessor?
Softer? Harder?
