Kraig...I agree 100% that the roots of soul are African, Mid Eastern...I said, in my post, referring to the swing concept of time that is essential to jazz/blues/funk: "It comes, essentially, from African and Middle Eastern roots..." best...Hstick

i do understand where you are coming from, mainly from your work which you know i have followed from the beginning.
Each release has been a growth and or at least an arc into new territory and am glad you have managed to do this while without having to betray our roots which i recognize as still being there even when the outward form takes on a new shape.
The proof is in the pudding and enjoy the constant stream of your good home cooked meals. i would hate to have this exchange of ideas, and that is all it is not include this as an important element of the overall context. I hope to all concern that they can recognize the difference between following different ideas can be so a separate thing from admiring someones work when it happens.
