Carl & Cameron,

This little offering was indeed intended only to tickle the musical
funny-bone -- and that's all. From where I sat, the melody &
accompaniment started from the same fundamental but with different
harmonic structures (E major & minor), diverged briefly to separate
roots and harmonic planes (C major and E major, C major and G# minor)
and returned again. Blame it on the eggnog.

I've uploaded another neo-classical work in Just Intonation to ZeBox:

Trio no. 2 in G Major for Soprano Recorder, Violin and Harpsichord --
3rd movement

Coming soon to a pair of headphones near you:

Sonata for Violin and Harpsichord in 17 EDO

I've also started work on my contribution to the next (hopefully)
17-Tone Project -- a chamber music for string trio & two pianos in
17-edo.

Best,

jls

Jeez, Carl, aren't you familiar with Star Wars?

That's the second time in 3 days I've spilled coffee all over my keyboard! :)

Cheers,
Jon

Well done, as usual. I'm sorry to see you going "inside" again, though. :) I have to say I was intrigued by the use of the JI tuning on this one, but maybe in a perverse way: I wonder how many people, used to traditional 12tet, would hear it as "out of tune"?

Your prodigiousness grows legendary.

Cheers,
Jon
