Jacob's 17-tet fest . . . . . OR 19?!?!?!?!?!?

What if instead of another 17-fest, there was a 19-fest? or a 22-fest?
But it looks like 17-plans are already in the works. . .

Both are excellent ideas.

If for some reason it has to be 17 notes, why the @#&%$ not, at least,
unequal notes? Excellent things can be done with 17 note scales, and
there are some good ones. Notable in particular are Garibaldi[17], the
breed convex closure of the 7-limit tonality diamond, and the 17-note
semimarvelous dwarf (which despite the name I've given it is also very
good.) Any of these is loaded with possibilities.

I'm a fan of consonance, but I have to admit I like some of the
sounds these composers have been getting with 17-equal. See Jacob's
piece from yesterday, for example. It seems well worth exploring
to me.

These 17 pieces could be good when you are in a mood to listen to
serialism, as you could listen to them instead. But when I compare
Jacob's piece with what we know he can do in 19 it's depressing. I
think the "17 revolution" is not very satisfying. I'd like to
contribute to a project like this, but 17-et locks me out in that I
can't see how to work with it in a way I would be satisfied with.
