(quite strict, actually) Fugue

This one's for certain lurkers of the Wild Wild East (znaš kdo si :-) )
Guess the tuning seems to be the game?

It's the second tune, Fugue Brass Lutes, at my ZeBox site-

I don't want to sound mean, but I think I should be honest. That fugue
made me feel a little ill, I can't tell if it was the timbre, the
tuning, or the pitch, but something about it made it very difficult to
listen to. Overall the impression was that it felt muddled, I had a
hard time telling the voices apart, and everything felt very high
pitched, even when it wasn't. I'm sorry I can't be more articulate.

I liked the nastiest of it and would love to hear it on a harpsichord. i liked that it involved (it seemed) some entrances of the theme at places besides what we are normally used to.
maybe the pitch might be clearer with a different timbre but sometimes other factors require making the tuning less clear.
Maybe i work in too long of forms but i only wished it might have been longer.
But i am learning to enjoy those tiny gems when they drop into my lap.

I didn't know you had a zebox page! All three tracks are quite
interesting.

There is some pretty aggressive stretto in this fugue. I'm afraid
I can't guess the tuning. It's nice, though.

Thanks for listening, guys. Timbre is certainly a very important
element- when I get the rest of the piece finished, maybe you'll agree
that a bright and brittle timbre is a necessary contrast to the rest
of the piece, don't know yet just how much contrast will work, may
have to stretch the fugue some.

The tuning is the same for all three tunes on the site, a 23-limit RI
17 "WT" which is very close to equal but never gets hairy as far as
ratios- IIRC the fifth in this "distant key" is 104/69, for example.
