Hi all,

New music posted. There's a 12-EDO MIDI version, for flutes, at:
/makemicromusic/files/Yahya%27s%20music/

Jon L Smith retuned this for me in the intended 5 limit scale, which I've labelled "D minor tritonic hexatonic", which has some interesting interval properties:
D = 1/1, E = 10/9, F = 6/5, G# = 25/18, A# = 125/81, B = 5/3
and performed it with four different orchestrations. I've uploaded the version for Descant, Clarinet and Viola.

Enjoy!
Regards,
Yahya

Dear yahya

Very dreamy . I heard it many times. Its calm captured my soul, Like a
wise man , advising me . also , its beginning and some other parts of it
shows that it has been a guest of homayun dastgah !!

And thanks for your response. But I must say that I work in 2 different
way , first I compose and then work in world of tunings. But not from
random collection of old tin cans , I think that I have found my models
for tuning out of consonase region which they and they are important for
me , I let they go every where they want and take me by themselves.

I'm glad you enjoyed the music. Jon's instrumentation, I think,
really adds something special, yes, calming. Thanks again, Jon!

But not from random collection of old tin cans , ...

That *was* a joke! ;-) However, if that's all you had to work with,
I'm convinced you'd still make good music with it.

That is very interesting! Could you give a simmple example of what
you mean by a consonance region?

Yahya

Yahya,

I enjoyed this very much. I think I'd like to try your challenge to compose
with it.

Thanks,
Aaron.
