Where is the infamous MIDI of Ben Johnston's 8th quartet? The link at sonic arts seems to be dead.

Sorry to get back to you late ... i haven't been reading this
list regularly.

The version at Sonic Arts was an old one anyway, which only
had the first little section. The version i prepared for my
presentation this past April 15 is the entire first section
of the 2nd movement -- the movement is an ABA form, and this
is the whole first "A" section.

(I set up a new Yahoo tuning_files2 group because the
first tuning_files "Files" section is nearly full ...
it's nice that we can just keep creating more groups
whenever we need more space!)

Thanks to Gene Ward Smith for making the beautiful .ogg
file out of my MIDI.

Here's the tuning list post where i originally posted the link:

You can follow the thread from there for whatever else was
written about it.

Yes, except this is annoying because people have to keep subscribing
to all these new groups in order to access the files.

Could you use www.yousendit.com instead? It's perfect for short-term posting.

Except that on yousendit.com you're not uploading a file that
lives on the web and can be downloaded, you're emailing it to
specific people. Thus, i need your email if you want it, which
means that you have to write to me directly and ask me for it.

Rosencratz just demonstrated (with the Nancarrow example) that you can
post a link (for the short-term, of course) that anyone can access. I
was surpised myself! I assume you just have to "e-mail" the file to
MakeMicroMusic@yahoogroups.com Pretty ingenius, really.

I sent the file to myself, then it gave me a link to the file, which I
copy/pasted into an email.
